Sitting in a booth of the Three Broomsticks Jeanelle Aurien sat drinking her cider and flipping through the classifieds of a muggle newspaper. There was a gleam of determination and glee hidden in the depths of her brown eyes that would make anyone want to know what could be so fascinating about a newspaper. Little did anyone know our little witch was searching for her first house to buy. She had finally saved up enough money to buy a home and redecorate it to her liking. With the rise in house prices it had taken longer than the woman had anticipated but all in all it wasn't that long of a wait.
Spread out on the table were three different colored note pads and three pens to go with them. Each book was used for a different house hunting purpose. There was a book full of wizard community residences(blue), a book full of fixer uppers in each community(red), and a little yellow book she was now filling with the information for muggle homes. She knew that it was usually wiser to buy a home in a wizard community, but for the most part those houses were even more expensive and some...well some where just plain run down for that sort of price.
Taking another sip of her drink she placed the cup on the table and sighed. She had circled, written down, and categorized over 100 houses all together and she was getting a little tired. Gently laying the paper down she looked out the open door of the pub and smiled. It was a gorgeous day, if a little cool. Maybe she should take a walk after sorting through this last paper and see if anything had changed since her last visit. It had been a year since she was in the country. Her work kept her in Italy all of last year chasing down the "bad" guys. As of two weeks ago she had been given her pay and decided, since she would be stationed in the country, to settle down and buy a house. The Head of Department wanted her around till things cooled down from her little mishap. Gods you would think a little burnt mansion wasn't such a big deal...besides couldn't a Count, or whatever he was, afford to have it fixed. She had saved his life in the process. Rolling her eyes at the memory of the fat little man's tirade she flung the thoughts away and set about her business again.
Sitting in the corner she was fairly noticeable to any who came into the pub, an old habit of being an Auror. Dressed in a simple white blouse and black slacks she was dressed to blend in if need be. Her long hair tied up in a pony tail with curling ends that always seemed to escape. The most noticeable thing about her was her pale skin against all her other dark features, but here in this part of the world that wasn't out of the ordinary at all. For the most part she was pretty confident she would not attract any attention, so she was free to browse the ads aimlessly. A happy little smile gracing her lips softening her features and causing her to be more noticeable than she would have liked. But who ever notices their own beauty? Most only think of themselves as full of faults, and Jeanelle Aurien never thought of her own looks.
