You're so sad maybe you should buy a happy meal You're so skinny you should really super size the deal Secretly you you're so amused And nobody understands you October walked down the street light lit road. No cars were passing by so she knew she wouldn't have to play chicken with any of them. It was a somewhat boring night for her. Nothing even slightly interesting had happened. She walked to the center of the road and hopped onto the curb separating the different directions of traffic. Balancing on it would be the easy part, but then again she was wearing 3" high heels. Which were somewhat comfortable for October. The night air was rather cold and damp from the rain that began in the early afternoon and stopped around 5PM. She couldn't see her reflection in the mirror like puddles she walked past. Which was somehow a bed thing since she had no clue as to how she looked.
October reached into her purse and puled out a small pack of cigarettes and a small black lighter. She placed one of the cigarettes into her mouth and lit it up then put the light and pack back into her purse. She then pulled out a small bottle of red wine and smiled. The moon was throwing pale blue rays onto her skin and hair causing her to look ghostly. No one was in the streets at this time of night, which was a pretty good thing. Blowing out a puff of smoke she then took in a gulp of wine then kept on walking will she reached a large park covered in forest. October walked into it and sat down on a cold rock bench. The cold surface made her skin feel warmer then usual. Making her feel a bit more human then most times.
She put the cigarette out on her right wrist and sighed. Life was rather boring and she was hoping for something interesting to come along and change that for her. A few fireflies were out and about on the waters making everything look enchanting. The trees' shadows looked like monsters in the moon's light. The moon and every star in the sky reflected brightly onto the lake. It made her smile. Taking another sip of wine she took out another cigarette and smoked it as she watched the wind make ripples on the water and causing cherry blossom petals and some leafs fall all around her.
((sorry it's rather short and lame))

Solemn walked slowly through a slightly worn path in the trees, avoiding a walk along the street. The night had already fallen into the sky, the sun was gone, and everything dimly lite from the half moon shinning through the thin clouds overhead. As he walked he avoided the wet spots of mud and water in the low parts of the ground from the rain just a bit earlier. A bitter cold lingered in the air, fresh and thin. A genital wind pushed through his brown hair, throwing it a bit out of place, if it really had a place on his messy style choice. A soft rustling was heard all around him as he continued through the trees to the side of a still lake. The water reflected everything around him; the trees, rocks, stars, moon, and some clouds.
Tonight he had no particular mood, however, he didn't feel in a very good mood. It could have been fact he was restless or that he hadn't had something in a long time. He thought to himself -What am I doing?- he had no reason to be out walking at this time of night but he thought more, of course he didn't want to sit around and do nothing. A sudden urge, a new feeling came over him just before entering a open area to see a girl on a stone bench smoking a cigarette.

October let out another puff of smoke and took another gulp of wine. She could hear someone coming toward her. It smelled like a mud-blood, but she didn't mind much. October could feel their eyes on her as she placed the wine by her feet and patted the empty seat next to her without looking away from the lake. She had a good feeling they would sit next to her. Since their curiosity would get the better of them in one way or another. That should could be completely sure of at that point. Another gust of wind blew toward her moving the person's sent closer toward her. male, mud-blood, adult? Blood type 0-....he's alone thought October as she shut her eyes.
It didn't take much for her to figure those things out. October waited for the man to sit next to her so she could at least have some company or a bit of lunch. She kicked a rock that was laying coldly in front of her and watched it bounce it's way down and into the lake. It caused 100s of ripples to form on the lake's surface causing the mirrored images to blur and fade for a moment. It astounded October on how something so small could change a wholes outer look. It was truly amazing to her. October let out another puff of smoke out her nose and sighed.

Solemn watched the girl with a curious look on his face as she drank and set the bottle down and let out a low laugh when she tapped the seat next to her without even looking in his direction. He wondered what she could possibly thinking. He stopped the thought and just began walking toward her, from behind the bench and around to the other side sitting about a foot away from her.
At first he said nothing, had nothing to say but he watched the water ripple and a few petals float on the surface of the water. Lights danced in the air and the clouds seemed to be dissolving in the sky, it was a beautiful night. He hadn't been thinking of what she was until a scent caught him by surprise and noticed she wasn't a human. His sense of smell, no match for hers, but pretty good for a muggle.
He suddenly felt weak and pathetic but tried not to let it affect his look. He thought for a long while. -Why was she so accepting...?- he kept asking himself questions that of course he could not answer but what he could admit in the end was she amazed him. He let his deep blue eyes pier forward into the lake, placing his elbows on his knees and leaned closer to the lake. "Hello." He simply said

"Hello."
October heard him speak as she watched the water lost in thought, but not completely. "You were watching me," she spoke in a gentle and quiet voice. "Why is that?" October could feel his body heat radiate off of him like the sun's ray's hitting her arm in the late morning. It felt rather odd to be near someone so warm. It only made her want to scoot closer to him, but she gripped the seat of the bench tightly trying to keep herself from doing so. October could feel the sharp rocks which made up the foundation of the bench on the bottom of the seat. It didn't hurt her much nor did it pierce her skin.
The cigarette she had in her mouth dropped out and onto her right wrist burning her a bit. It made her flinch, but not from pain, from surprise. "Sekhmet sa'es," she said as she watched the cigarette's light go out. With a small sign she reached into her purse and grabbed another one, stuck it into her mouth and lit it up. October didn't care much as to what the man thought of her smoking and drinking. Since she did only appear to the normal person as 16-years-old when in reality she was sixty-nine. "I'm October by the way. October Delacour. And who might you be?"

The girl's voice lingered in his head but suddenly he felt stupid. He struggled in his head for a long second for the words. "I wasn't watching you..." he trailed off thinking for another moment trying to think of how he could defend himself when, indeed, he was watching her, in a way. "I just saw you....and didn't expect anyone to be around." he said nervously, which stuck him as strange, he was never nervous around girls. In fact it was probably one of his only talents, not to fuck up in front of girls. It didn't seem to be the fact that, as far as he could see when he walked by, she was beautiful, but probably more that she seemed so blunt, not like other girls he had met in the past.
He could smell the smoke blow in the breeze to him as she puffed out and he gripped his arm trying not to breath, he was craving one. Suddenly he saw a dim redish light fall and he looked to see the cigarette had fallen and he looked at her worried but she didn't seem to be in any pain so he brushed it off. "Solemn Reese..."

"I wasn't watching you... just saw you....and didn't expect anyone to be around."
October smiled as she heard him attempt to speak answer her question. He seemed to be struggling with the words and she found that rather funny. Most people did find her a bit intimidating in a way, but not by much. He was the first person who actually gotten tung tied around her. And it made her feel a bit off in some way or another, but she didn't care much for the feeling.
"Solemn Reese..."
"that's quite an interesting name you have." it was true his name was rather interesting. It made her think about what his parents were thinking when they named him. Suddenly his words struck her like a light punch in her mind. Of course, his sent was familiar to her in a way. How stupid could she be? "Your the secretary to the minister of magic aren't you?" She had to ask just to make sure he was. She's never met the secretary although she has smelled him before in the main room when he gave himself a paper cut.

Solemn stood up to stretch and shoved his thumbs in his front pockets and stared harder at the lake, something was different. He sighed softly to her words. "It's a weird name...." he said and smiled to himself. "But I like it." He bit his lip thinking about why he was getting tung tied and breathed in deeply. He scanned over the entire area infront of him before turning to her when she ask him a question.
"Your the secretary to the minister of magic aren't you?"
"Uhh, Yeah I am. Why do you ask?" he said kind of shocked she would know who he was and now felt guilty and scared he had forgotten but threw the thought off no way he would forget meeting a girl like this.

"It's a weird name....But I like it."
"I like it as well." she looked up at him and smiled as she watched him stare at the lake. He looked like he was concentrating on something very important and she found that rather adorable. Letting out a small, quiet giggle she took another sip of her wine. October et out a small sigh after doing so. The taste of it lingered on her tung, it tasted bitter sweet. A good taste.
"Uhh, Yeah I am. Why do you ask?"
I knew it! thought October as she tried to think of an explanation to give to him. well I... she paused for a moment to collect her thoughts. His blue eyes were somehow putting her into a sort of trance. She couldn't look away no matter how hard she tried. Hell she couldn't even blink for a moment. "Well I ask because your sent is very familiar to me. I'm surprised I didn't notice sooner. now or never Toby, just spit it out. "As well as the fact that I happen to be the minister of magic." she looked down at the ground as soon as he blinked.

Before he turned back to look at the girl he felt blood rush to his cheeks when she said she liked it. Why he was so flustered by it, he did not know, but he couldn't help it. When he did turn to look at her she spoke again.
"well I..."
He grinned noticing her struggle to find the words she wanted to use and felt less like a moron for stuttering before.
"Well I ask because your sent is very familiar to me. I'm surprised I didn't notice sooner. As well as the fact that I happen to be the minister of magic."
-My scent? Familiar?- he asked himself before she spoke of her position. When she said who she was he suddenly felt like an idiot for not recognizing her name. "Oh..." he said not sure of what to say but smiled meekly. "Well, hey boss." he said half heartedly and laughed deep in his chest awkwardly.

"Oh...Well, hey boss."
The word boss felt a bit off in October's ears. She couldn't help but let out a small laugh under her breath. October rolled her eyes at him then gave Solemn a half-hearted smile. "It's October. Not boss, alright? or you could call me Toby if you'd like." A gust of wind blew past them as october's eyes returned to the enchanting lake. For some reason she just had to stair at it. She sat there motionless for a moment then let out a small sigh. "The lake has an addicting appearance. Doesn't it?"
October couldn't help but ask. She wanted to know what the beauty of the lake held for Solemn. As well as the if it had the same affect on him as it did for her. Colors sworled around her at that very moment. The night had always been colorful for october. filled with variations of dark blues, blacks, purples, and dark greens. Although she could see and hear it all clearly she still saw it as enchanting as fairydust. A weird compairson, but one nether the less.

Solemn sighed softly when she spoke and laughed again. "It was just a joke October." he said grinning and winked at her. The wind blew against his warm skin. He felt a shiver go down his spine and he sighed happily.
"The lake has an addicting appearance. Doesn't it?"
Solemn looked out onto the lake again. It seemed to be magical, glowing, in the moon light. Fireflies dance around over the lake in a natural light show, majestic, yet mindless. Petals from cheery blossoms rolled in the wind landing on the still water every once in awhile causing ripples to form. He looked to her again and spoke a little darkly with a grin playing on his lips. "Very..." He looked away to the lake again while speaking. "But not as addicting as yours."

"It was just a joke October."
"Sou ka," said october with a faint smile playing upon her lips. She moved a bit back onto the bench to where she was sitting up completly straight. It felt more comfortable then how she was before. Like a statue october sat quietly with a smile uponce her face watching the ripples in the lake form and diappear. A few fireflies went from the lake and flew toward them. They looked like many spirits saying their last goodbyes to everyone they knew. Or at least thats how it looked to october.
"Very...But not as addicting as yours."
October sucked in a large amout of air. It wasn't a comment she normally recieved from ministry members, nor other people in general. "umm..." it was all october could think to say. She kept her statue like postube but turned her head slghtly toward him so she could at least see him. He was just looked a the lake, watching, it looked like he was analizing or something of the sort. Solemn's brilliant blue eyes sparkled under the light of the firefiles. It made butterflies flutter like mad in october's stomach.

He turned to look at her again and smiled warmly. "Did I make you uncomfortable?" he said almost sure that's not why she simply said umm but thought she just might be at a lose of words. "I wasn't lying." he said walking and sat next to her a little closer this time on the bench and looked at her. "You really are beautiful though." he said feeling him blood rush a bit worried he was coming on to strong, which he obviously had to control him self from complementing her to much.
He looked at the lake once more, it was perfectly still and the clouds had vanished but storm clouds could be seen in the distance and he breathed out, his breathe seen in a mist that quickly faded.

"Did I make you uncomfortable? I wasn't lying. You really are beautiful though."
October's face would have turned bright pink if she was human. She looked at the ground as she felt solemn sitting closer to her. The warmth of his body hit her's at an instant. October could feel her unnecessary breathing grow deeper a bit. she tried to calm herself by thinking a small prayer she had learned. "It didn't make me uncomfortable...much. It merly just took me by surprise is all." She paused for a moment as solemn's last words rang through her ears like a bell. "but thank you." October gave him a half hearted smile as she spoke to him.
If her heart was still beating it would probably race so fast even a human with dull senses would be able to hear it. She let out a small sigh and looked back over toward him. In the corner of her eye she could see the lake reflecting storm clouds off in the distance. October could even smell a bit of rain and ice around them as she spoke. "The storm should hit us in a half hour or so." October looked up at the deep purple-gray storm clouds. "If you're afraid of getting wet you don't have to sit with me." She could already feel small drops of rain hitting her bare arms as she looked up at the sky. "Although it could come sooner then expected."
