Turn off this light, call my name Don't talk, just ride Who wouldn't let you be all about, About me I'm only trying to work this out
October walked towards the Ministry around 5:00A.M. London was covered in fog as far as she could see and dew was formed on the buildings and smalled bushes. The small trees swayed in the cold, yet soft breeze as she walked a bit further into london. It was very quiet, a bit too quiet for October's taste. Only a few birds could be heard overhead and the occasional whispers of the wind. She wasn't really sure why she was going into the ministry. It was like she was being drawn toward it like a flower was drawn to the sun's light. October took in a deep breath through her mouth. The air tasted like gasoline, oak, metal, and humans. All very typical tastes for a city like this, but it made her wonder if there was anyone else in the ministry besides her.
Oh well if there is & I just keep walking I'm bound to find one, thought october as she stopped walked and leaned up against a nearby building's side wall. October looked up to the sky just before a small drop of rain fell under her eye and ran down her cheek. If someone had been watching her it might look like a tear to them. She let the water soak into her skin, not daring to wipe it away. Getting up off the wall october kept walking a bit more. The mist was starting to dissapear all around her letting a gray light pass through the tall buildings. It made the city look a bit more enchanting then before.
October reached a large telephone booth in the middle of the city. A few spider webs were handing on the side of the booth. They were masked in dew drops reflected the dim light. They looked like littly clear diamonds strung together by thin thread. She walked into the telephone booth and shut the door behind her. Looking out to make sure no one was nearby she pulled a small lever and the inside of the booth started moving downward. She watched the city above as she moved downward as though she was in an elevator. Once she reached the bottom it gave out a small ping. October roled her eyes, opened the door, and stepped outside and into a large dimly lighted room.
The room was an emerald green and very beautful looking. It always surprised her when she came to the Ministry. Large balls of lights hung in the center of the long hallways that branched off form the room. October started to walk toward the Minister of Magic's officer. Which just happened to be her own office. On the walls of the hallway were pictures of famous witches and wizards as well as other famous creatures. Once she reached her office she glaired at it's silver handle. once again it looks larger then normal, thought october as she reached for the handle and twisted it swiftly. Opening the door the first thing she notices was that the black candle chandelear was already lit. It wasn't very strange since it seemed to be always lit. Her large ebony desk stood at the far back of the room and infront of it was a small creamy purple silk couchand a mirror covered in mirrors.

October getting the Minister position wasn't something she really expected. She was rather shocked that when she applied she actually was accepted. Since usually they would only take pure bloods and not other magical creatures. But then again times have really changed and every though she was changed at 16 she did have 69 years of life experience behind her. Which sometimes was a good thing, but others it really wasn't. Especially when it came to friends, most of the humans found it very odd and thought she was old and boring. Which wasn't all too true although she did make a few human friends as well as half bloods and pure bloods. Although they all seemed the same to her no matter what blood or family they came from.
October sat down at her desk and traced her fingers along it's grooved edges. It was very smooth and cold to her touch. although it didn't really bother her all too much it still sent a shiver down her spine. The room made her feel a bit at home, yet at the same time boxed in. It gave her a weird vibe as well and made her somewhat uncomfortable. She could hear the quiet pitter patter of someone's foot steps coming toward her. October scrambled and placed some papers onto her desk, grabbed a self inking quill and started to write. A moment after she heard someone tapping on the door.
"Ehh October?"
Jude, she thought as she put the quill down and laughed at herself a bit. "Come on in Jude. You know you really don't have to knock you could just walk right in," she called loudly out toward the door. Usually thats what most people did no matter who they were. Just walk right in without announcing them self, but was mostly for something important. Which really made her feel important sometimes, yet swamped. It was her first year as minister and she really wanted to do a great job at it. As well as making her name well known.

October smiled as she listened to Jude speak. It was nice hearing a familiar voice every once in a while. It was almost comforting.
"This is very nice October, very style full. It's very big though."
"Well I did ask for a smaller one though. It's a bit too big for my taste, but at lease I can decorate it however I wish. Which is a plus on my part," said October with a half hearted smile. It was rather true. She felt really small in this big office of her's. Hence why she added a lot of furniture. But she had to admit it was rather fun painting and picking out things for her new office. Although it made her feel a bit lonely being by herself for most of the day. Even though she did sneak off every now and again to just have fun for a day.
"Really congrats on getting the job, October, I'm really happy for you. I'm sure you are going to do just great."
"thanks," it was all October could think of to say at that moment. Being congratulated wasn't something that happened often for her. Since no matter how hard she tried it didn't seem like she could even begin to impress some of her vamp friends. Nor her own father for that matter. He learned to stay clear of October in the beginning when Mizuki and Emily died. Those two things hit her really hard. And even now she was still trying to recover from it all.
"I'm sorry I haven't stopped by earlier, but I guess you have been quite busy right?"
"It's alright. And actually I'm not all too busy. Today has been rather slow for me. And I was thinking about exploring the ministry. Would you like to come with? It's gonna be a lot of fun. We can mess with people and play hide and go seek." October let out a small laugh. For her to suggest some things, and her being the minister of magic It made rather hilarious. "Sorry that was a bit too...yea...unless you really want to." once again October let out another small laugh as she got up off her desk chair. "So...how about it?"

"Well actually I would like a tour if you wouldn't mind."
October flashed him a quick smile. "Sure, but I'm not all to sure where everything is. Just the main parts and some smaller bits. But that's it so we'll be doing a bit of exploring considering the fact there are thousands of rooms here." She let out a small laugh then advanced to the large sofa in her room and grabbed a black robe and a silver chair with a large group of keys hanging from it. She hooked the necklace around her neck as it went into place into her shirt on top of her other necklace. She walked toward Jude who was standing in the doorway.
"Ladies first, plus I don't know the way."
October smiled and rolled her eyes at him as she walked out of the large office and waited for Jude to follow as she locked the door behind them both. She used the first key on her neck. It was made of gold and the top looked like a small English crown. Once she was done she started walking toward the darker hall on the left side of her office. Once she reached the darker part of the hall she stood there and waiting for Jude to follow.
